Ekta Kapoor announces her 1st pan-India film with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal

 

The movie, titled Vrusbhaha, was announced by Ekta Kapoor on Monday morning. The film will go on floors next month and is touted to be high on VFX and emotions according to her.

By Latha Srinivasan: Ekta Kapoor, the queen of soaps in India, has announced her foray into pan-Indian cinema with a movie starring Malayalam super star Mohanlal. She made the announcement on her social media. This was a big announcement coming in from Balaji Telefilms as it marked their foray into languages other than Hindi. The movie was being made on a budget of Rs 200 crore reportedly.

She wrote, "Posing with d legend n the genius !!!! JAI MATA DI so excited to b working with the actor par excellence @ Mohanlal. Balaji Telefilms partners with Connekkt Media and AVS Studios for VRUSHABHA - a Pan India bilingual Telugu Malayalam Film starring megastar Mohanlal. High on emotions and VFX, the film is an Epic Action Entertainer transcending generations. Touted to be one of the biggest films of 2024, VRUSHABHA, directed by Nanda Kishore, goes on floors later this month and will be released simultaneously in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi."

Director Nanda Kishore, who has worked in the Kannada film industry, helms this film. He has directed eight Kannada films and Vrushbha will mark his first pan-Indian film as well.

Ektaa Kapoor’s next Hindi film production is The Crew, starring Kriti Sanon, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu. This movie is directed by Rajesh Krishnan.
