Adipurush box office collection Day 20: Prabhas' film crashes

 

Prabhas' Adipurush has crashed at the box office on Day 20. The film, directed by Om Raut, is based on Valmiki's Ramayana.

By Janani K: Director Om Raut's Adipurush, despite being one of the most anticipated films of 2023, failed to create magic at the box office. Though the film crossed Rs 450 crore worldwide, trade reports suggest that the Prabhas-starrer hasn't made profits in many areas. Now, it looks like Adipurush is nearing its end in theatres as it has been earning less than Rs 50 lakh per day.

However, after the opening weekend, the film struggled to stay afloat. Adipurush completed 20 days in theatres and it looks like it might be pulled out of theatres by the end of this week. On Day 20, initial estimates suggested that the film earned approximately Rs 20 lakh (net) in India.

This is a staggeringly low number for a film like Adipurush, which was made on a huge budget of Rs 500 crore. It is almost impossible for the film to pick up 

momentum at this stage
